Every leader wants to build a resilient team that will remain motivated and engaged throughout the good and the tough times.
This is a tall order for most organizations, especially now that we have a health crisis, talent shortages, and rapid technological disruptions.
In an article by HBR, authors Keith Ferrazzi and CeCe Morken highlight the three practices that set resilient teams apart.
According to the authors, resilient teams:
– Know that collaboration doesn’t equal meetings. Frequent meetings hurt job performance and productivity, resulting in an approximate $283 billion in lost annual revenue in the US alone.
– Build supportive and caring relationships with each other. This builds trust and a strong sense of community.
– Feel a collective responsibility to lift each other’s energy and well-being. With resilient teams, individuals feel responsible for energizing each other.
